Job Short Description

**Role**

As a Rust Software Engineer, you are a detail-oriented, hard-working, problem solver with an optimistic attitude, that can easily (and happily) wear many hats. You are able to uphold our company’s principles and values while adding to our unique culture. As a member of our Ethereum & EVM networks Team, you will broadly be responsible for the following.

**Responsibilities**

- Interact frequently with application developers and product stakeholders to best understand their needs.
- Design and develop software systems to best serve the needs of the company. These include our kubernetes REST API services and MEV efforts.
- Work with DevOps engineers at ChorusOne to deploy, monitor, secure, and maintain these systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and upgrades to underlying network validators.
- Perform rotating on-call duties. This is temporary (currently expect to be 6 months or longer), until we can cover on-call through a separate role.

**What we are looking for**

- Has good written and oral communication skills.
- Enjoys teamwork and is good at collaborating with stakeholders and fellow software engineers.
- Is open to picking up new technologies/languages/frameworks.
- Genuine interest in crypto and industry.
- Be able to take ownership and not be risk-averse.
- Experience working with Rust, in professional or hobby projects.
- Alternatively, 2 years of professional software development experience working with another statically typed programming language or languages (C++, Java, C#, Go, or others)

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Professional software development experience with Rust.
- Experience of a startup-like environment, and ability to adapt to the fast-moving environment of the blockchain ecosystem.
- Prior blockchain experience.
- Prior experience with Solidity.
