Job Short Description

THE ROLE

Due to the continued success and growth of Chiliz & Socios.com we are now looking for an HR Specialist to join our Human Resources department. Reporting to our Head of People you will be a “key component” in representing our department in our Madrid Office. Ultimately,  You will be entrusted with ensuring great relationships with both candidates and employees, updating and implementing HR policies and procedures while overseeing the smooth run of all HR Operations so that we hire, develop and retain qualified talent. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in Human Resources and thorough knowledge of Spanish labour legislation.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy;
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues;
• Assist in the recruitment and selection process as well as owning onboarding and offboarding procedures;
• Take steps to ensure positive candidate experience;
• Assist in employee retention and development;
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital;
• Respond to enquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs;
• Act as the point of contact regarding labour legislation issues;
• Nurture a positive working environment and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues;
• Assist with performance appraisal systems that drive high performance;
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management;
• Conduct new employee orientations and employee relations counselling;

Requirements 

• A minimum of 3+ years of experience as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist or similar role;
• Familiarity with Human Resources Management Systems and Applicant Tracking Systems;
• In-depth knowledge of candidates’ selection methods and  full-cycle recruitment processes will be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of Spanish labour legislation is essential;
• Full professional proficiency in the English language is a must and knowledge of Spanish will be considered advantageous;
• Demonstrable leadership abilities;
• Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload;
• Quick-to-learn and fast-to-adapt to changing environments;
• High resilience and flexibility;
• Creative thinker with a proactive approach to solving problems;
• A positive, “can do” attitude.
